About Me

I have been a teacher of art for 19 years.  I first taught elementary art at Holly Heights in Millville and then transferred to Millville High School and most recently at CCTEC.  I am happy to be back in the Millville Public School system. I have participated in many clubs throughout the years including: set design, art & mindfulness workshops, musical director, assistant director for the fall play, jewelry club, drama club, and the art & wellness club. 

  I love Art!  In 2020, I was awarded Teacher of the Year!  I also gave my first speech at a Professional Day for Vineland High School on Art & Mindfulness. Since then I have pursued an Arts Integration Specialist Certificate to enhance my art career.  I have lots of jobs.  In addition to teaching I am also a life coach and my husband and I are both realtors. I also run a summer camp for kids, host paint parties, face painting events, commissioned work & murals. 

 I have four beautiful children, a cute chiweenie dog named Marley and an adorable gray rescued kitty named Mikka. Let's not forget the unforgettable scrappy dog Ziggy. He is some kind of rat terrier mix and super playful. My husband's family is from Cambodia and he plays drums in a reggae band.  My oldest daughter had a baby boy in May of 2020, so I can add "grandmother" to all of my rich titles.  My second oldest daughter graduated from Widener University with her master's majoring in accounting and financial planning.   My younger kids are now 14 & 13 and torment me and each other all day long.

 In my spare time I write music (playfully, not professionally), I love to journal/blog, observe nature, attend my husband's shows up and down the East Coast, spend lots of time with family, cook, have lots and lots of BBQ's all year long, watch movies, and go rollerblading and roller-skating. I also love rainbow sprinkles on vanilla and chocolate twist cake cones in the summer.
