The New Mission Statement

The process behind crafting this statement and what it means for our community.

In focus group discussions with district leadership, staff members, families, and our community, we identified a need for a new mission statement. The previous mission statement was drafted nearly 10 years ago and was in need of revision to reflect our current district community.

We were also presented with the question, how do we prepare today's students for tomorrow? In what at times feels like a world in endless flux, it is important that we constantly reevaluate what it means for our students to be both academically and realistically prepared for adulthood.

Our goal was ultimately to create a mission statement for our present students, our future students, and our understanding that success takes different forms for our students. We want our graduates to be confident, prepared, and willing to make positive changes in the world.

Our Mission Statement

We will provide all learners with an education that empowers them to realize their full potential, define their own success, and make a positive impact in a challenging world.
