MPPFA was excited to invite 2 guest speakers from Ohlone College at the upcoming General Meeting on October 20, 2021 at 6 p.m. PT. After a quick update from the President, we will have the esteemed speakers, Taylor Harmon & Robert Smith, help answer any queries related to dual enrollment and/or college credit programs.

About the Speakers:

Taylor Harmon

“Hello, my name is Taylor Harmon and I am a counselor at Ohlone College. I grew up in Fremont and attended Ohlone after I graduated high school. During my time as a student at Ohlone I gained so many valuable skills to prepare me for that transition to a university. I earned two Associate Degrees at Ohlone, one in Human Development Studies and the other in Psychology. From Ohlone, I transferred to Sonoma State University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and continued onto San Jose State University where I graduated with my Masters in Education. Now, I find myself back at Ohlone, helping my community through that same transition I made myself, and I feel privileged to do so!”

Robert Smith

“Hello, my name is Rob Smith and I am the Program Manager for the Student Pathways Programs at Ohlone College. I have been at Ohlone for a little over 2 years supporting students through the Onboarding process and providing access to higher education. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University of San Francisco and continued on to earn my Masters Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of San Francisco as well. I am currently in the Joint Doctoral Program at San Diego State University/Claremont Graduate University working on my Ph.D. in Education. I truly enjoy working with students, talking to the opportunities and benefits of college, and clarifying a path to goals through education.”
