I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the school year! I don’t know about you, but once the weather starts turning it gets a lot harder to get out and get moving. Our school has partnered up with the Minnesota Timberwolves to try and help get our students and families up and moving. For every 15 minutes that your student is active (i.e. going for a walk, playing outside in the snow, participating in sports, playing active video games, shoveling, and more), they will earn 1 point. If they are able to earn 25 points or more from September 30-November 1, they will be eligible to earn a free ticket (with the purchase of an adult ticket) to a Timberwolves game. After the game, they will have the opportunity to go on the basketball court to shoot hoops. This is an optional activity and you do not have to take part in it. However, if your student chooses to participate all they need to do is complete the 25 points within the timeframe and return the bottom portion of the handout signed by an adult at home to Mrs. Bruun in the gym by November 8. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at Ashley.Bruun@mpls.k12.mn.us.
