Hi, my name is Ashley Bruun. I started teaching in Minneapolis at Hale Elementary in 2012 and came to Windom in 2021, and I love it here! Before that I taught at Minnesota International Middle School from 2009-2012. I received my bachelor's in Kinesiology and my master's in Education with an emphasis in Applied Kinesiology, both from the University of Minnesota, where I was also a member of the Women's Golf Team. In my free time I enjoy playing broomball, golf, tennis, softball, kickball, as well as biking, paddle boarding, and fishing. Anything that keeps me active, really! Throughout the year in physical education, the students will be actively learning different sports and games. Many of these activities will be incorporating appropriate math and literacy to help aid in your child's learning. We are also focusing on physical fitness and activities, and why they are important in each child's life. Through different teaching techniques, I will ensure a fun, safe and inclusive environment for every Windom student!
