I’m Mitch Jones, a teacher with over 20 years of experience in urban education. I recently earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Minnesota, but my real motivation comes from working alongside our students every single day.
My biggest passion is helping every student reach their own version of success after graduation. Success isn't one-size-fits-all. Whether your dream is heading to a four-year university, learning a skilled trade, launching a business, or stepping straight into a career you care about, I am here to help you build the path to get there.
How We Work Together
Learning That Connects: I design social studies classes that link directly to real life, history, and your community. Using flexible assignments and modern tools, we make sure lessons meet you where you are and challenge you to grow.
Real Support for Real Life: High school comes with real-world responsibilities—like working a job, caring for family, or learning a new language. We focus on removing barriers so you always have the support you need to keep moving forward.
Strong Family Partnerships: Education works best when families and school staff team up. I am committed to keeping open lines of communication with parents and guardians so we can celebrate wins and keep students supported every step of the way.
High school is where you build the foundation for your future.
