In Bethune Arts Elementary, our values will look like an arts integrated community where all students are supported in their learning and creativity.  Students and staff will collaborate to build an environment where students are invested in their learning.  Students and staff will benefit from clean rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and a clean and safe outdoor environment where the central focus is the arts. The students will be sufficiently supported academically and emotionally in their learning throughout the day.

Sounds like:

In Bethune Arts Elementary, our values will sound like students engaging in positive self-talk and academic discourse that is respectful and culturally relevant.  Our students will have a voice in their education through positive and productive conversations with staff, fellow students, and administration.  The academic discourse is rigorous, plentiful, data driven and engaging to our students and adults.  You will hear calm voices and kind words that show respect for all members of the Bethune Arts Elementary.

Feels like:

In Bethune Arts Elementary, our values will feel like a school where students, staff, families, and the surrounding community support one another to create and sustain a safe physical and emotional learning environment.  Students and staff feel confident to take risks to be their best selves.  This school is a calm, safe, community where everyone feels welcomed.
