Goal = Go Narrow and Deep to Practice Continuous Improvement

The focus of the Equity Toolkit is to support schools to focus on a narrow aspect of educational equity and use the continuous improvement process to support a change in adult practice.

There are many strategies within the three areas of awareness, practice, and systems change. The MTSS, SEL, and Balanced Literacy Implementation Toolkits are all ways to focus on developing more equitable practices at your school.

In the Equity Implementation Toolkit for 2018-19, after completing the Exploration Activities, you'll have the choice of selecting one of three strategies to work on throughout the year. The last step of the Exploration stage is to do an assessment that will help you select the right strategy for your school.

The goal of selecting from the three strategies outlined below is to focus our support as a district and help schools begin to go deeper in their equity work. While any one strategy will not encompass all of the important equity work at your site, it is a starting place to bring the continuous improvement cycle to this work.
