Two Chapters...One Vision.
The Black Star Union (BSU) is more than just a student organization—it’s a community of individuals who are dedicated to fostering leadership, self-empowerment, and advocacy. Membership in BSU is a chance to be part of a movement that supports Black students in their academic, personal, and professional growth. In addition to participating in a variety of enriching programs, BSU members have the opportunity to take on leadership roles that help shape the future of the organization and the community. Currently we have two BSU chapters in the district:
Any student who identifies as Black or African American and is passionate about leadership, community service, and cultural awareness is welcome to join the Black Star Union. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior, BSU offers opportunities for you to engage, learn, and grow alongside other like-minded individuals.
Benefits of Being a BSU Member:
Leadership Development: Gain valuable skills in leadership, public speaking, and advocacy.
Community Impact: Participate in community service projects and make a difference in the lives of others.
Cultural Awareness: Celebrate Black history, culture, and heritage through various events and activities.
Networking: Connect with mentors, professionals, and fellow students to build lasting relationships and career opportunities.
