Our Earth, our planet, our home, our survival, our future, in our hands
With a few simple steps, you can lower your environmental impact without a huge inconvenience in your daily life. This is a short list of things you can do in different places. If you click on the titles in each section, you can go to more detailed web pages, which explain why and how to do these things.
Plant trees
Only wash/dry full loads of clothes and wash on cold, use a clothesline in the summer!
Be more creative with your wrapping paper ideas. Using recycled items like old newspapers or magazines can save you a lot of money and help the Earth.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Don't use glitter. It falls off of things and it is a pre-micro plastic. Instead, try using reusable ribbons to decorate things.
Compost things like melon crusts or leftover food (Compost is organic material that can be added to soil to help plants grow. ... Making compost keeps these materials out of landfills where they take up space and release methane, a potent greenhouse gas.) This can help your garden.
Know what plants are invasive in your yard - Don't grow them
Donate to organizations like World Wildlife Fund and 4Ocean, especially local ones.
Don't waste food - you can make more but you can't make it disappear
Double-side the paper when you print something
Don't eat meat/eat less meat
Walk or bike
Take public transportation (busses, etc.)
Carpool
do your errands more efficiently
Write To Politicians
One of the most influential things you can do is write to politicians who represent you about climate action. Try writing to your local senator or even to the president, raising awareness about climate change and letting them know that it's something their voters support.
Spread awareness!
