The following resources may be helpful to parents, teachers, and students seeking more specific information. These resources may serve as a beginning point as you seek answers to your questions. Program teachers will be happy to support your search if you are not able to find exactly what you need.
Parent Resources:
STEM Innovator - Equip students with critical STEM innovation and entrepreneurship skills. Our research-driven curriculum, instruction, and assessments provide the tools. Next year students will be able to earn 3 credit hours of college credit from the University of Iowa!
Belin-Blank Center This is the International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development that supports parents, educators, and students with services for the Gifted and Talented.
Iowa Talented and Gifted Association (ITAG) is Iowa's association of interested parents, educators, and concerned citizens dedicated to meeting the needs of talented and gifted children and youth.
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is an organization of parents, educators, other professionals and community leaders to address the unique needs of children and youth with demonstrated gifts and talents as well as those children who may be able to develop their talent potential with appropriate educational experiences.
The Association for the Gifted (TAG) was organized as a division of The Council for Exceptional Children in 1958 to help both professionals and parents deal more effectively with the gifted child.
Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth This organization engages gifted kids and their families through programs, summer classes, and even a bi-monthly magazine.
Davidson Institute for Talent Development Their mission is to support gifted young people and provide opportunities for talent development.
