The anchor chart is a place where you are supposed to record every day of science and add what we did that day. I got a meets for my anchor chart and I feel that I did a pretty good job with recording each day and it's contents. I would hope to get another meets on my unit two anchor chart as well. I think I'll try the same methods that I did the first time like trying to get it done every day we had science.
Some of our long term learning targets are...
Chemistry Long-term Learning Target: I can apply my understanding of the structure and properties of matter by professionally demonstrating a chemical reaction and explaining how it occurs verbally, visually and in writing.
Waves Long-Term Learning Target: I can demonstrate my understanding of wave physics by designing and constructing an escape room that incorporates these principles effectively.
We took our first chemistry quiz about atoms and I got a score of five out of six. I feel that I could have improved but I got an easy question wrong. The question was, "what does the atomic number mean" and I answered that it's the average atomic mass but the correct answer was the number of protons. I want to set a goal to try and not rush so much on these quizes.
This quiz focused mostly on chemical and physical changes as well as Ionic and Covalent bonds of an atom. I got seven out of eight which is a meets. I could have gotten eight out of eight but I had forgot what a coefficient was. This could have been easily solved by just paying a little more attention in class. Although I didn't get eight out of eight I still got a meets which means I met the expectation. I would like to set a goal to give all my attention to my teacher during class.
At the end of Unit one we had a test. This test was all about chemistry, atoms, and molecules. I actually got an exceeds on this test and I am very proud of this grade. Science is actually my favorite subject and I think that ties in with how well I did. I tried hard on this test and put in a lot of effort in class. A goal for our next science test would be to try my hardest in class and study more for the next tests.
Unfortunately I don't have the image of this poster, but I will tell you about it. The poster me and my group made included information about how our reaction worked, how the pickle glows and how the electricity is transmitted. Overall my group did pretty well with the poster and made it look nice.
This exhibition was all about reactions and I got the electric pickle reaction which was actually really fun because my group got to electrocute, a... pickle. I actually thought this Exhibitionw as really fun because like i've said before i got to electricute a pickle. The reason the pickle was sentenced to the electric chair was because when we would pump the electricity through it it would glow because of the sodium chloride inside the pickle brine. I got a Meets for my final grade.
This quiz was all about light and sound waves and how they work. This test wasn't to hard for me because I actually really like science and can focus a lot on the topics we are learning. I got a score of 8/10 which is a meets. I am pretty happy about this grade because I missed two of the three days we were learning about this topic. A goal in the future is to try to get a perfect 10/10.
