Q: What is the "myth" of the math brain or math person based on the video and the article?

A: Some are better at math than others naturally. Math is a skill that may have "clicked" for some sooner than others.

Q: Why are mistakes important in math class?

A: The reason mistakes help us is because an effective way to learn is through trial and error.

How do you feel about math right now?

As of writing this slide, math can be challenging, but I know it will be worth it in the future.

Geometry quiz one was about finding the area of triangles and other geometric shapes.

Math quiz/geometry quiz #2

This math quiz was about finding the area of different shapes and determining if two shapes are congruent or not. If so, how to transform it to the same same shape, size, and angle.

I focused on my understanding of algebraic structures to ensure success on this third quiz.

#1 iready test

I did not perform as well as I had wished on the math Iready test, but I have been working extra hard in math to improve my performance.

MAth quiz #4

This quiz was especially challenging for me because I needed to complete it in a short amount of time. I felt rushed and pressured. Upon reflection, I learned that increasing my study time with math as well as taking my time to consider answers is important.

Mid unit test

In this test we covered two-step equations as part of our mid-year assessment. I was satisfied with my performance given my struggles earlier in the year.

For this work book, I improved my performance by completing extra credit problems. Learning that extra effort pays off.

Unit 4 end of unit test

This test was about distributions, linear equations, and systems of equations.

Unit 5 work book

This work book was on Interpreting Negative Numbers, examples of which would be fractions and decimals.

Data Practice problems

This Unit was about linear, nonlinear, and neutral scatter plots. A linear scatter plot follows a straight and predicted path. A nonlinear scatter plot is often all over the place and has more than a few outliers. It does not follow a predicted path. Finally, a neutral scatter plot does not have any path and the data is everywhere.

I will use the information and practice I have gained from my Delta math problems to help me complete the assignment.
