For this project I was making a slide show presentation about banned books and in this presentation I talked about all the books that have been banned in Colorado, the first banned book and book burning.
In this project half the class would make a circle and talk about an article we read. We did a deep dive into every little bit and then talk about it. We would try to have everyone share their thoughts at least once. This was very usfull and productive because it allowed everyone to voice their oppinions and ask questions about what their classmates were saying.
In this exhibition we researched the ups and downs of storytelling throughout history. Then after we researched thouroughly we would right our very own story that we would publish. On exhibition night we would present our learning from that past couple of months. We would read our stories, tell people why story telling was important, and show our projects that we had done that past months.
This project was used to prepare for our second humanities exhibition about migration. We would interview a relative to try and learn more about or origins. I interviewed my grandma who moved from Puerto Rico but then had to move back because her father wanted her to work for him.
In this project we were assigned a group and a region from old civilizations. My group was assigned the meddeteranian region. We did research on ancient inventions people from all around the meddeteranian invented such as aquaducts and paved roads. We would also make a dish from our region. For my dish because Italy was is in the Meddetaranian region I made pizza.
In this exhibition we would be assigned a group that we would research a topic with. My research topic was poverty and me and my group researched this topic and tried to find solutions. We would then present our findings in a sacratic seminar with another group.
