Chemistry Long-term Learning Target: I can apply my understanding of the structure and properties of matter by professionally demonstrating a chemical reaction and explaining how it occurs verbally, visually and in writing.
The purpose of this anchor chart is to provide an ongoing, visual summary of the key concepts and ideas we learn in each science lesson. By updating the chart after every class, we can track our learning, reinforce important information, and see how our understanding grows over time. This chart will serve as a reference to help us review and connect concepts throughout the science unit.
The purpose of this quiz was to check our understanding of the previous lessons we did in science class. We had been learning about atoms, how they interact with each-other, what makes them up, and the periodic table. On this quiz I got a 5/6 which is a meets because I got one question wrong, "What does an atomic number represent about an atom?" I read the problem wrong before I answered so I put in the wrong answer. In the future I will read questions fully before submitting my answer and go over the answers before I turn in the quiz.
This quiz was about the lessons we had done in between the 1st quiz and this quiz. We had still been learning about atoms during this time like chemical equations, physical changes versus chemical reactions, and the periodic table. For this quiz I got a 5 out of 8 which I think is really bad. I don't think I understood the material very well and it was really confusing for me. On future quizzes I want to work on understanding the material better and studying before the quiz.
This test was to end our chemistry unit, I got a Meets +. (34/37) Because I worked hard and read the questions thoroughly I feel like I didn't understand the topics covered on this quiz but I still tried my best. For the next science quiz I want to feel more prepared.
This exhibition was generally about showing our knowledge of the chemistry unit we did in science class. We each had our own group that had its own experiment that we did extra research on. My experiment was the gummy bear sacrifice. Overall I got Meets + on this exhibition.
