I interned at Maria's Bookshop, a down town business that sells books. I chose this location because I love to read, and I am interested in how businesses function. During this experience, I learned how to use a cash register, how to help customers, as well as what goes on in the back of a business. This Internship impacted my view on small scale businesses, showing me just how much work is needed to keep them afloat. I impacted my community during this internship by helping customers find great reading material, and taking on tedious but rewarding tasks at Maria's.
