Community of Readers

Silent reading time is sacred in our 7th-grade humanities classroom. We begin each class period with 20 minutes of free choice reading each day. Students discuss what they're reading with peers and teachers on a regular basis. Students can check books out from our classroom library, or bring books in from home. So long as they always have a book on hand, we're open to whatever they choose to read!
