In science right now we are working on geology

My goal for science is "Taking Ownership" and to use feedback from others to improve my work.

To achieve this I will listen closely while others give me advice. This will include my teachers and my classmates.

Plate tectonics Lab

This is my plate tectonics Lab tap here

In this lab we filled out questions getting knowledge from videos and articles.We filled out the questions by writing, picking the letter and typing answers.

In this lab I learned about all the different types of plate tectonic boundaries. Like convergent, divergent, seduction and transform types.

I understood the concept because similar questions were coming back and back again so I had no choice except to memorize them.

The habit of heart and mind I used in this lab was effort because it took a really long time and I had to push through with effort.

Rock cycle Lab

Here is the rock cycle lab we did which I really enjoyed.

In this lab we answered questions about what type of rock we think it is according to the picture.

What I learned in this lab was how to tell the difference in different types of rocks and what there called.

This helped me understand the concept because it was a game so I played along and thought it was fun so I remember it

The habit of heart and mind I used was refinement because I had to go back through every question when the fish was just slightly wrong.

Earth rock EXHIBITIoN

The exhibition

This was our "First Americans" exhibition.

The project was about the first natives of the area and how the area was formed. My group researched the geology of the Arctic region which was very fascinating.

In this group work project, I realized that sometimes you need to step up and be a leader for your group.I will bring that in to my next group project.

If I were to do this project again, I would try to have a lot more time management. At the very last building of the exhibition we didn't have our layers of the ground layered.

Overall, this was a very cool and interesting exhibition, from both the Humanities and science parts. The thing I thought was interesting was how old all of the land forms were.

Scale and DISTANCE

I learned about scale and distance during this project, which I thought was cool. This exhibition I feel that I did a decent job on and was happy ish with my grade. I got 3 exceeds and two meets. I was okay with this but I wish I got a better grade and thought that I was would on this. The habit of heart and mind that I used well was respect by respecting the items we used and built with, including items that weren't ours.The habits of heart and mind that I could of used more of was effort I could have used more when my partners were working on the model and I was doing anything because there was nothing to help with even when I asked.

AI/technology farming

Farming exhibition

.In this exhibition me and my partner Levi worked on a project to show the new ways to farm, that we as mankind have never done before. My partner and I talked about how to farm with AI and new technology. Overall, I think we did well in this exhibition . I think that we probably got a meets or an exceeds on this project. I think in this project me and my partner worked really well together by bouncing ideas off each other and helping accomplish them. The habits of heart and mind I used the most was effort.I didn't just use it in the normal ways that I usually use effort, but by thinking outside of the box and not just doing whatever the other group was doing.We decided to think and pick a unique topic which we did go with. The habit that I wish I used or could have used better was refinement. I could have made the presentation more organized or even changed the colors. There were a few things that I wish I went back and did. Next time I will implement this refinement goal by asking my partner at the start of the project to remind us on the last day of the project. This will work two ways so I will remind them as well.
