When we did the egg drop are egg survived which was a success. This was a very fun project preparing for the rocket launch. We had to drop an egg from the roof top and it had to survive.
When we did the skate park we learned about energy, mass, height, speed, ect impact on how a skater can do. This was fun to do on the computers to learn about how are rockets will fly.
What grade did you get on this assignment
I got a meets on this assignment and I think I could have done better but I think I did a good job.
What did you learn from completing this assignment, and how does it connect to what we have been studying in class?
I learned how rockets worked and how we are going to use them.
How does this assignment showcase your growth or skills as a learner?
This shows that I can grow in my drawing skills and how I can be a better learner with science.
How did your rocket perform in the exhibition launch? Were you satisfied with its performance? Why or why not?
I think the rocket performed very well. The rocket won second place with the height and egg survival. I was very happy that the rocket survived, the test launches with real eggs did not survive. I think that we put a bunch of effort and refinement into the rocket making it to the best of our abilities. Overall, I am very proud of my group and what we accomplished during the launch.
What were some of the challenges you faced while preparing for the rocket launch exhibition? How did you overcome them?
I think the group didn’t have very many challenges. The only thing we did have a hard time with was making the nose cone. We have some disagreements about how we should shape the nose cone and how everything works. Overall, I think are group worked very well together and did not have very many challenges.
What did you learn about the engineering design process through this project?
I learned that when you make wings that are more triangle shaped they go higher and spin down. I did not learn as much about the engineering process that I thought. I more took in more about how rockets work and the pump.
What are you most proud of regarding your rocket and the exhibition?
I am really proud about how I worked with the nose cone and how the egg was protected. I am also very proud of the group's script too. Overall, I am just proud that the egg survived and went really high.
How does the knowledge you gained in this project relate to real-world applications or other areas of science?
I think that learning how rockets work shows how cars work such as mass, acceleration. Speed, ect. Science is very important in the real world when you are cooking, driving, walkling when you're with your friends, ect. Rocket science is very important and fun!
