EXHIBITION: earth rocks!
we are working on a project about GEOLOGY including rock layers of our region. my goal for science is for group work. I will work better with my partners by being more respectful to their ideas. I will achieve this goal by working with my group more to complete the tasks we are given.

in this lab we were given starbursts to demonstrate different types of rocks. We started off by cutting them into small pieces for sediment then we smashed them together to make sedimentary rock. We did different stations like this to make different types of rocks, such as metamorphic and igneous.

In this lab we were given 4 graham crackers, 1 rice crispy treat, 1 plastic knife, and 1 big spoon full of whipped cream. With this we made models of plate tectonics converging and diverging.

All of our groups were given a different place to study. My group was given the grand canyon. Everyone had the same things to study such as: The role of dominate rock type, colors and minerals and water.

In this exhibition we learned about space and I did mercury. We got to make a board game and we decided to call it mercury mash. I learned so much about mercury and enjoyed sharing my knowledge with other people. Something that I think that I could change in the future is that I would try to not look at my notecards as much. Overall this was a very fun exhibition and I would want to do it again if I could.
