This quiz was about atoms. I got a 5/6. Next quiz I want to get a 5/6.
This quiz was about atoms and matter. I got a 5/6. Next time I want to get a 5/6.
During science class we are making a note gatherer with visuals of the things we learn during class each day.
I thought it was pretty cool making and learning things about chemistry. My chemistry Anchor Chart included chemical equations, chemical diagrams of reactants and products, periodic table information, patterns of chemistry, how to study an atom from the periodic table, and the different parts of different kinds of atoms.
Exhibition: I think I did well on making eye contact with the audience, but that exhibition did not go very well. I got an approaching and think I could've been less figitive and bored while other people presented.
Chemistry Long Term learning target: I can apply my understanding of the structure and properties of matter by professionally demonstrating a chemical reaction and explaining how it occurs verbally, visually and in writing.
How I connected with the learning target: I connected with the learning target by working, and collaborating with other people. I did a lot of work with other people and that helped me connect with others and share our understanding with each other.
PHYSICS ROCKET MANUAL:
In science we created a manual that showed our understanding of how Newtons three laws impact a rocket. I thought this was pretty interesting and I enjoyed it.
One thing that went well for the players playing our escape room was that they all looked pretty engaged. I think the puzzles were fun and interesting. They really liked the word search and the bolded letter puzzles. One challenge for the players playing our escape room was that they didn’t know what to do with our puzzles and the puzzles might have been too difficult for them. Especially when they were solving the cipher puzzle where you have to find all the r’s. I think we could’ve made the clues more straightforward. To be honest, they said they didn’t learn anything about light and sound waves because that’s not what they were focussed on while solving our room. If we would’ve made it a clear goal by the beginning then it would’ve been easier for them to understand more about light and sound waves. However, there was a word search with a bunch of vocab words about light and sound waves. They seemed very engaged with our escape room and said the artifacts looked really cool. It felt very scifi to me. Overall the players felt very immersive while solving the escape room. I would have made it more unique and more creative. I would’ve set up extra props to make it feel differently. We struggle to get a clear idea that everyone agrees on. A certain group member kept changing things we told him not to change. By the end he had a lot of work to refine and it didn’t make sense.
