I did not take my iready quiz at the beginning of this school year because of some reasons. However, I am able to reflect on my delta math. I have not done an awesome job at delta math. The homework in accelerated math is difficult and a lot. Also, another thing is I don't usually finish all my delta math every week. I think I am missing concepts, and during the math 1 final the main concepts I missed were the 3 forms of linear equations, which I did not do a lot of work on in delta math. 🫢
The thing in this class that I found the most interesting was being able to design a slide show with Koen about a basketball throw. Making a basketball court out of your basic shapes was pretty sweet and cool. However, I thought the math was nice to learn too.
The learning targets:
Algebra long term learning target: In can proficiently analyze, model, and solve problems involving equations, inequalities, and systems across multiple representations (algrebriac, graphical, tabular, and contextual), correctly justifying my reasoning and interpreting the solution to demonstrate readiness for the Math 1 Final exam.
I connected with this learning target by spending a lot of time on the math quests. The math quests are sheets of paper that help you understand concepts that are important in math 1. I feel like these concepts were the most important and these things helped me in my math class.
I can proficiently analyze quadratic functions across all forms (standard, vertex, and intercept) to identify key features (vertex, axis of symmetry, intercepts, domain, range, maximum/minimum value) and solve them algebraically, graphically, and contextually to model and predict real-world phenomena.
I do think that this learning target will help me in math class. I think it will help me to look at this and understand what I need to do and what I need to do not as much as what I need to do.
