We demonstrated tectonics plates by using gram crackers, frosting, and rice crispy treats. We learned how these tectonics plates form different things in different ways just from this one lab.
Starburst was used to show and explain the rock cycle, and how it works. We learned how these rocks transform from one type to another.
We created a slideshow about Bryce Canyon National Park rocks and it's rock layers.
This is called our "One Pager," that we used to give more visual information for our exhibition.
This unit gave me a better understanding of space, especially Saturn because that’s the planet our group worked on. The learning target is I can Use a model to describe how gravity influences the motion of objects in galaxies and the solar system.
I think we did really well. Also I asked some people to present their presentation to me so I could learn more about their planets. I think that this really helped me because I didn’t just learn about Saturn, but I learned a bit about every planet in our solar system.
In the future I think I would’ve chosen a different planet because I already knew a lot about Saturn before this unit.
In this assignment we researched about an environmental issue.
We created a slideshow to present what we were going to do for our action plan.
The Environmental action plan is a project we did where we researched about an environmental problem, and then came up with a plan we could do to help fix it. The thing me and my partner did was ocean acidification. We illustrated and created a slideshow to present our action plan. Our action plan was to make people more aware of this problem by creating posters. One challenge we had was figuring out what we wanted to do. In all though I think I learned a lot, and became more aware of this problem.
