About Me

Background

This will be my 15th year teaching, 13 years here in the Mounds View District and my seventh year at Turtle Lake.  I was born and raised in Lake Elmo, Minnesota and attended Stillwater High School.  After that, I attended the University of Minnesota where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and eventually my master's in Elementary Education with a middle school emphasis in Social Studies. 

I live in Little Canada, with my wife Heather, and my two daughters Ella (2nd grade) and Nora (1st grade).  We also have a dog named Abbey (12). We spend our summers swimming and outside enjoying the outdoors.

Outside of School

I enjoy being outside and playing/watching sports. I am a big University of Minnesota Gophers fan, especially football and hockey.  I am a fan of all Minnesota sports, hockey being my favorite winter sport to watch/play. During the summer, I enjoy being active outside. I spend most of my time on the lake with my family or playing golf.
