About Me

Background

This is my 13th year teaching, 11 years here in the Mounds View District and my fifth year at Turtle Lake.  I was born and raised in Lake Elmo, Minnesota and attended Stillwater High School.  After that, I attended the University of Minnesota where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and eventually my master's in Elementary Education with a middle school emphasis in Social Studies. 

I live in Little Canada, with my wife Heather, and my two daughters Ella (6) and Nora (4).  We also have a dog named Abbey (10). We spend our summers swimming and outside enjoying the outdoors.

Outside of School

I enjoy being outside and playing/watching sports. I am a big University of Minnesota Gophers football fan and go to a few games per year. I am a fan of all Minnesota sports, hockey being my favorite winter sport to watch/play. I cheer for the Minnesota Gophers/Wild. During the summer, I enjoy being on the lake with my family and playing golf.
