Welcome to 4th grade! First of all, I want you to know how excited I am to be here and how happy I am to have you in our class this year!  I have been looking forward to meeting you all summer.  This year will be my 15th year teaching, my 3rd year teaching 4th grade, and my fifth year here at Island Lake.  I know that I am new and unfamiliar right now, but please don’t worry, we are going to have an AWESOME year in 4th grade! I promise!

  Second, I wanted to share a little about me! I grew up here in Shoreview, and graduated from Mounds View High School. Go Mustangs!!! I got my undergrad at the University of St. Thomas and my masters at Argosy University. I now live in Ham Lake with my husband, 3 kids, and our dog, Tucker. My husband and I have been married for 10 years now. His name is Chris, he works for Ramsey County, & he’s a baseball fanatic. Our oldest, who will be in fourth grade at Island Lake this year, is Bailey. She loves all things pink & sparkly. Our middle child, Urban, will be in second grade this year. He would eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if we let him, and he loves to be goofy and make people laugh. Our baby (okay, she’s actually 5 now!) is Kinsley. She’s trouble with a capital T. She loves to hide the remote control, and play with any and everything she’s not supposed to. We always have pizza & movie night on Fridays and we LOVE playing outside, hitting up state parks, and swimming!

  Like I said before, I am so happy to have you in our class this year!  I truly look forward to getting to know you better this year.  But for now, please let me know if there is anything you’d like me to know before the first day.  See you soon!
