Period 6: 12:43-1:32 7th Grade Band

Practicing
It is important for physical, intellectual and emotional development that students practice often outside of school. Please help your child find a consistent practice time in an appropriate environment. Consistent daily practice fosters individual musical growth which allows a higher level of contribution to the ensemble. We encourage students to practice a minimum of 30 minutes five days a week.
Grading
Students will be graded on many aspects of musical performance including
1. Written and playing assessments
2. Small Group Lessons
3. Concert attendance and contribution
4. Student Contribution to the group in daily class setting
5. Written class assignments
6. Supply and equipment checks- e.g., instrument, music, method books, pencil, reeds, mouthpiece, valve oil, etc.
