Mrs. Leiser

 Hello! I'm Elyse Leiser and this will be my thirtieth year teaching at Turtle Lake.  I LOVE my job and feel fortunate to be working with outstanding families and kids here at Turtle Lake! Every day is a new adventure and I find great joy in helping kids be the best they can be.

My husband teaches physical education at Island Lake Elementary and is the Boy’s Varsity Basketball Coach at Mounds View High School (Go Mustangs!).  We have two young adult  children, Paige and Brady.  

 I am a proud graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where I graduated with a degree in elementarty education and special education.  I did my masters work through St. Scholastica in Duluth.

Our family loves to travel, go to sporting events, and spend time outside.  I enjoy going for walks, gardening, reading, baking, kayaking, and having fun with friends.

 One of my favorite parts of teaching is building relationships with my students.  I truly believe that each of one of them has fantastic gifts and I look forward to helping them shine! I see our class as a team,  and I’m excited to build  a fantastic community where we can learn and grow together! 

I know we’ll make a GREAT team!
