Textiles

Textiles is taught through a series of workshops in the first term to help the students develop their skills in different areas, including constructed textiles, embellished textiles and printed textiles. They are encouraged to work with mixed media, often using materials that are not usually associated with fabrics. Students begin their work by exploring a theme within their sketchbook that leads onto creative sampling and development and a final outcome that can be for fashion design or pieces of art.
