A School Counselor is a trusted adult kids can come talk to if they are having a hard time. The main job of a School Counselor is to make sure that all students are safe, happy and feel connected to their school community.

School Counselors can help kids if/when students are:
- having a hard time controlling their emotions/feelings
- experiencing problems with peers and/or friends
- have things going on at home that make it hard to focus in class
- feeling stressed/overwhelmed about school
- need help organizing, managing their time, etc.
- experiencing being bullied or know someone who is bullying/being a bully
- using substances (ie. alcohol, vaping, marijuana, etc.) to cope with their feelings
- don't feel safe at home
- ...and all kinds of other situations!
