Open slide show in presenter view (pull down next to Present on right)
Close the small dialog box in the upper left for presenter view so just the first slide shows
Open Screencastify by clicking on the orange arrow in top right of screen
Set it to Record Desktop, Turn on microphone, Use embedded Webcam, then select Record.
It counts down 3,2,1 and then you start talking and advancing slides.
When done, click the orange arrow again and hit stop. The video will save in your Google drive.
Can save to other locations, like YouTube, as well. Change the YouTube settings from Private to Unlisted so that anyone with the link can view, but it isn’t in the public list of videos.

Use your phone to record directly into an assignment in Google Classroom.
In the Classroom app, click on Create / question (also works with assignment, etc.).
Click on the link icon at the top of the page and select Record video.
Record your video and it will attach to the assignment.
