When you create an assignment in Google Classroom, you can select individual students instead of the whole class. This will make it easy to assign a different version to different groups of students.
In the top right corner where it says All students, click on the drop down arrow.
That will give you a list of the students. Uncheck the box for All students to deselect all and select only the students you want.
Did you know you can use the app on your phone to record directly into an assignment? This might be helpful, especially with your daily check in assignment.
This function is designed for quick (low quality) videos and some documentation indicates a 30 second time limit.
In the Classroom app, click on Create / question (also works with assignment, etc.). Click on the link icon at the top of the page and select Record video.
Record your video and it will attach to the assignment.
You can set options for student responses: Students can edit answer and Students can reply to each other.
It also might help with organization if you create a topic for Attendance so that it will be organized in your Classwork section.

After a guardian accepts the invitation, you and their student receive a confirmation email. And, the guardian’s name shows next to the student’s name. For privacy, students don’t see the names of other students’ guardians.
