This course introduces students to the principles and practices of mass media. Students will develop skills in news writing, interviewing, research, reporting, and editing. They will also explore ethical considerations and the role of journalism in society. A large part of this course will be investigating true crime stories and how the media affects criminal cases. The course will provide hands-on experience in producing a school news broadcast.
