We’re excited to welcome you to the Monte Rio School community! Our small, caring TK–8 school is nestled among the redwoods along the Russian River, and we are proud to provide a welcoming, inclusive learning environment where every student is known, supported, and encouraged to grow.
We want to make the enrollment process as easy as possible for students and families. If you have questions about enrollment, school programs, attendance boundaries, or whether Monte Rio School is the right fit for your child, please contact our school office. We are happy to help!
Completed enrollment materials may be returned to the school office. Families should be prepared to provide documentation verifying their child’s age and required immunization records.
Acceptable documentation of age may include a birth certificate or other legally accepted documentation. Our office staff can help families determine what documentation is needed.

We are excited to welcome our youngest Tigers!
Families enrolling a child in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten should submit registration materials as early as possible. Early enrollment helps us plan appropriately and gives families time to complete any required health or enrollment documentation before the first day of school.
Students entering TK or Kindergarten must provide documentation of the immunizations required by California law. Families should provide their child’s current immunization record when enrolling. California immunization requirements are updated periodically, so families are encouraged to review the California Department of Public Health – Shots for School requirements or contact our school office with questions.
TK and Kindergarten families may also be asked to provide required health examination documentation. Our office can provide the appropriate forms and explain the timelines for completing them.
Please bring:
Completed enrollment forms
Documentation verifying your child’s age
Current immunization records
Any required health examination forms
Relevant educational records, such as an IEP or 504 Plan, if applicable
Any additional records requested by the school office
If you do not have all of the documents listed above, please contact us rather than delaying enrollment. Our staff will work with you to determine what is needed and help you through the process.
Choosing and enrolling in a school is an important step, and we want families to feel welcomed from the very beginning.
Please call the Monte Rio School office at 707-865-2266 or stop by during office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to the Monte Rio Tiger community! 🐯
