Waiving Teaching Examinations
To waive CBEST (Basic Skills) you can have a coursework evaluation done by Shawna Gannon using the BSR form. If you are unsure about courses just send Shawna a transcript asking for a Basic Skills evaluation.
For CSET (Subject matter competency): Shawna can approve a Liberal Studies major to cover the Multiple Subject CSET.
Teacher Residency Programs
Project POPPY: Preparing Observational Practitioners through Partnerships Yearlong
Program Features
$27,000 in scholarship funds available to cover tuition and living expenses while you complete your co-teaching residency alongside an expert mentor teacher at one of our partner schools
Residents will earn their preliminary credential at the end of year 1, allowing them to begin teaching in their own classrooms in year 2 as they complete MAE coursework
