On September 9th, 44 students from Applied Technology Center High School went to the Pasadena Convention Center for a Cal State University (CSU) meeting event. Many students had feedback to say about this field trip and their own personal experiences as well as others. Rosie Guzman, a senior in the ACE pathway, rated her experience a 9/10. Rosie said, “It was really crowded, I thought it was only going to be like a few colleges but it was a really big event.¨
Daniella Cruz, a senior from the Public and Legal Services (PALS) pathway was asked "What college in the event interested you?" Daniella responded with, “A college that caught my eye was Whittier College. It interested me because I feel like they have a very strong community and also because they have a lot of help such as financial aid.”
Alexa Calleros is a senior from the Culinary Hospitality Education Fundamentals (CHEF) pathway. When asked “ What are your plans for the future?” Alexa responded with “My plans in the future are to go to college and study psychology and hopefully get a degree in that.”
On Monday, September 29th After School All-Star program took another 50 ATC students to a CSU Night at the Pasadena Convention Center. This time it took place in the evening from 5:00 - 8:30 PM.

Just like every other school, ATC holds an annual Back-to-School night. This year it was held on September 4th between 5-7 pm. It was an amazing opportunity for students to give their families a tour around the entire Applied Technology Center campus. The lovely school principal, Ms. Garcia, started the event off with a speech to introduce all of the teachers and staff working here at ATC. They had access to many of the classrooms where the teachers were there to give them information about their class. Out in the front, there were people at booths talking about the different after-school programs and clubs. Some of the booths included the ATC Leos Club, the Teen Line outreach program, and After-School All-Stars where they talked about the many different offerings they provide. At the same time the ATC Student Store was also open and ready for business where they provided guests with cheap snacks and beverages. This was a great opportunity for freshmen to show their parents all of the amazing things offered here at the ATC.
