The Schurr Business Pathway prepares students for college and careers by delivering a comprehensive, project-based education in business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial literacy. Through a structured sequence of courses, students gain hands-on experience in business planning, financial analysis, sales strategies, and economic decision-making. Embedded throughout the pathway is integration with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), which empowers students to develop essential leadership, public speaking, and professional ethics while participating in state and national competitive events. Graduates emerge equipped with professional portfolios, critical-thinking capabilities, and the real-world skills necessary to thrive in the global economy.
In this Pathway, students will go on field trips such as the Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach, Amazon, East Los Angeles College, and various universities.
All pathway elective courses are A-G approved. While being in the pathway elective class, students still have the flexibility to take AP and Honors courses, as well as participate in any extracurricular activities such as Marching Band, Speech and Debate, USB, Sports, Choir, Renaissance, etc. Students are encouraged to strive for excellence in all facets of Schurr High School life.
