Course Description
This year-long introductory course exposes students to the foundational principles of business, entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, global commerce, and financial management. Through hands-on project-based learning, business simulations, and collaborative activities, students create and manage simulated ventures, craft marketing strategies, and build core communication and problem-solving skills. Integrated with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), this course prepares students for leadership roles, competitive events, and further study in the Business pathway.

Business Factors & Marketing Fundamentals: The marketing mix (4 Ps), market competition, startup costs, and profitability.
Selling & Communication Skills: Consumer behavior, sales strategies, customer relations, and professional interactions.
Entrepreneurship & Branding: Brand creation (logos, slogans), market research, product development, and pitching business concepts.
Business Models & Global Commerce: E-commerce vs. brick-and-mortar operations, logistics, international trade, and cultural factors in business expansion.
Accounting & Financial Literacy: Financial statements (P&L), budgeting, basic accounting principles (GAAP), and revenue analysis.
Public Speaking & Customer Service: Presentation techniques, complaint management, and client relation strategies.
