Pathway Information
High School Program:
Four year sequence of courses
Combined with traditional mathematics and science
Introduces student to the scope, rigor, and discipline of engineering prior to entering college or the workforce
Those not intending to pursue further formal education will benefit greatly from the knowledge and logical thought processes that result from taking some or all of the courses provided in the curriculum

Competitions
Students are given the opportunity to participate in competitions that span across different grade levels. These competitions allow students to show their hands-on skills, and draw upon the knowledge they have acquired through classes.
Some of these competitions include:

The Engineering Pathway has many opportunities for students to volunteer in Pathways outreach events for middle school students, parents, and community members. Some of these events include:

Haunted House (11th Grade)
Float Parade (10th Grade)
Field Trips
Our students are enriched with field trips throughout their high school career. They are able to attend 1 field trip each year throughout their four years in the Pathway.
These field trips include:

USC Robotics Open House
Cal Poly Pomona
CSU Los Angeles Hydrogen Station
California Science Center
Royal Paper Box Company
Clubs
Students often join clubs while in high school, and our Engineering Pathway has four clubs that are officiated and run by students. They are able to participate in events with their peers, fundraise for events, and host workshops for prospective students.

Guest Speakers
We regularly host guest speakers in our classrooms to give students the perspectives of industry professionals.

Is contextual project/problem based
Integrates national standards in mathematics, science, technology, and English
Is supported by comprehensive professional development for teachers
Prepares students for successful transition to college in all 2/4 year college programs
Is sustained and updated through a private not-for-profit foundation
