Novel Word Learning
Novel Word Learning
Do children rely on text to learn new words? In the past, we observed how children ages 4-6 respond to orthography-present and absent conditions.
Currently, we are planning to observe how children ages 7-8 respond to orthograpy-present and absent conditions.
If interested, sign up for Children Helping Science and look for our study titled Language Experience and Language Learning. Participation in this study is asynchronous.
Research Priorities of Autistic Adults who Use AAC
We want to learn more about the research priorities of autistic adults who use AAC! We created a survey for autistic adult AAC users who are their own guardians, so we can learn more about their research priorities.
Email the ABLL Lab at abll@montclair.edu, if you are interested in participating in this study. Participation in this study is asynchronous.
In the future, we plan to conduct a survey for autistic adults who use AAC and have a legal guardian.
Reading Comp. Systematic Review
How often do researchers look into the reading comprehension abilities of minimally and nonspeaking autistic individuals? Is there any existing research at all? We conducted a systematic review on the topic!
