Biography of the Committee

Paula Agresta has been a resident of Monroe Township. Her and her 2 sons are graduates of Monroe Township Public Schools. She’s been with the district 21 years as a secretary, most recently at Holly Glen Elementary. She serves as the building representative for Holly Glen and is also a past president of the MTAES. She proudly is representing her members on the communications task force.


Brian Bovio is a parent representative to the task force. He is a New Jersey licensed HVACR Contractor. He and his wife are residents of Williamstown. His son is a 4th grade student at Holly Glen Elementary and he has a 20 month old son who will be a future Holly Glen student.


John Carullo has worked as a Science teacher at Williamstown High School for the past 12 years. In that time he has taught AP, Honors, and College Prep Chemistry as well as freshman Fundamentals of Science. His wife is a Social Studies teacher at WHS and his sister-in-law is a 2nd grade teacher at Holly Glen. John has been an officer of the MTEA teachers union for the past 5 years and has negotiated 3 teachers contracts with the Board of Education.


Karen Collins has worked as a secretary at Williamstown High School for the past 15 years. She lives in Williamstown and has raised her three children here. Her daughter Kristine is a 2nd grade teacher at Radix, her son Daniel is a Quarterback with the Ottawa RedBlacks of the Canadian Football League, and her son Brendan is a sophomore at Williamstown High School who also attended Holly Glen elementary. She is currently the President of the MTAES secretaries union.


Charles Earling is the Superintendent of the Monroe Township School District and Chief School Administrator. A lifelong educator, he has previously served as Principal of Collingswood High School and Athletic Director at Washington Township High School. Currently he resides in Washington Township with his wife Margaret.


Jeremy Fau is a science teacher at Williamstown High School. He has taught Physics and Chemistry for the is past 11 years. A graduate of Rowan University, he is currently in his second term as the MTEA Teachers Union President. Jeremy and his wife Andrea welcomed their first child, Zach in March of this year.


Victor Heggan was a resident of Williamstown for 10 years before moving out of state, but has since returned. He has been working in the custodial field and has always advocated for his colleagues by representing them as a shop steward. Now, as the President of MTFT Local 3391, Vic represents the maintenance, custodial, grounds, and food service workers in Monroe. He represents those employees that are both in the private sector and the public sector unions working in our school district. Vic's moto is no issue or concern will go unanswered!


Dana Mericle is the principal of Williamstown Middle School. She has worked for Monroe Township Public Schools for 38 years, 19 as a teacher and 19 in administration. Dana grew up in Williamstown and graduated from WHS in 1976. Her two daughters, both in their twenties, graduated from Temple University and work in communications. Dana is vice-president of MTOAS and proudly serves on the communications task force.


Kristina Richmond is currently the Oak Knoll cafeteria lead. In addition to her post as the Executive Vice President of the MTFT 3391, Kristina is a resident of Williamstown. Her son Dawson is currently in 5th grade at Williamstown Middle School and her son Kyle is a 2014 graduate of WHS. Formerly an AVP with Bank of America and has worked at the Banking Center, District and Market Levels. Experience includes Audits, Consolidations, Divestitures, and Consumer Banking.


Christine Stanton has worked in the Monroe Township Public Schools for 13 years and has been a resident of the township since 1978. She currently is an Assistant Principal at the high school, but has been a K-12 Curriculum Supervisor for Social Studies and TAG, as well as a high school Social Studies teacher. Both her children are students in the district.


Paul Van Houten is currently a Middle School Science Teacher. He has served as President of the MTEA teachers union and is currently the Health and Safety chair as well as the 2nd Vice President. He lives in Williamstown and his children also attend the Monroe Township Schools.


Caroline Meraviglia Yoder has been an employee of the district for 26 years and was a student in the district for 11 years. While a student, she attended Cecil School, Whitehall, Oak Knoll, and graduated from the former Williamstown High School (now WMS) as part of the class Class of 1987. She got her start as a Special Needs teacher at Whitehall and has taught in every building in the district. In 2007, Mrs. Yoder moved into administration as a supervisor and, in the 2008-2009 school year, became one of the assistant principals at the high school. Most of her family still resides in Williamstown and her nephew is a Sophomore at WHS. Mrs. Yoder is the President of the MTOAS, which represents the building principals, assistant principals, and various supervisors within the district.
