Sample Family Forest School Schedule
The class takes place on Wednesday from 9:30-3:00 at local parks and/or SVEC. We offer a half day and full day option for families.
The Rhythm of the Day:
9:00-11:30 a.m.
Meet at Park:
Mornings are spent in small group activities and learning centers that center around our learning theme for the day.
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Transportation to local park, lunch, and time for free exploration at the park.
12:30 1:30 p.m
Meet after lunch with a story or circle connected to the theme of the day.
1:30-2:30 pm.
Family journal time and sit spots. Group activities based on family interests. This includes: nature hikes, experiments, data collection, and land connection activities.
2:30-3:00 p.m.
Closing gratitude and wondering circle
Families are responsible for transporting their own children and are expected to stay on site.
