CMA (Content Mastery Assessment): Students take a CMA once every nine weeks. The CMA tests cover everything the student has learned in that nine weeks. We will go over the results and review any missed questions, to allow to check for understanding.
NWEA MAP Test: The Map Test is given three times a year. The MAP Test shows how the student progresses throughout the year.
KSA: The Kentucky State Assessment (Formally KPREP) is a state-wide summative assessment that is given to students at the end of the school year. Fourth graders are tested in Math, Reading, and Science. Fifth graders are tested in Math, Reading, Social Studies, and Writing.
What are the Kentucky Academic Standards?
The Kentucky Academic Standards are what teachers employed by Kentucky schools use to guide our teaching. These standards outline the aspects of our respective subjects that students should know by the completion of their grade level. The Kentucky State Assessment (KSA, formally known as KPREP) tests student knowledge of the standards at the end of each school year. These Standards are accessible to educators, students, parents, and anyone else at any time on the Kentucky Department of Education website.
