This site is designed to introduce myself, provide information on what I do at Monroe County High School, and act as a hub of resources for both foreign language and technology. I hope you find all of the information on this website useful! Make sure to click on the tabs and not just the drop-down menus if you want more information!

Education and background
My name is Brady Thompson. You can call me Mr. Brady, Señor Brady, Monsieur Brady, I do not mind!
I graduated from MCHS in 2011. I later graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Spanish and French and a minor in Latin American Studies. I also studied for a semester at la Universidad de Puerto Rico during this time.
I have a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Kentucky University (2022) and a Master of Library Science (2023) from the University of Kentucky. I am currently working on a Doctor of Education focusing on instructional technology at the University of the Cumberlands (started in 2024).
After graduating from WKU in 2016, I moved to Albacete, Spain, where I taught English for two years at la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
I am Google certified in levels 1 and 2 and am also a Google Coach! If you have any tech questions, I will gladly help!
I love doing yoga, reading, cooking, playing video games, going on walks, listening to music, watching shows, and so much more!
I currently teach Spanish, French, and Dual Credit Education classes through WKU, and will start teaching a Drama class in the Fall of 2025. I am a club sponsor for the International Club and Drama Club, and sponsor the Class of 2029.
Teaching Statement
All students should develop intercultural understanding before graduating high school, which is essential for today's interconnected society. The foreign language classroom is ideal for fostering these skills. I am confident that all students can learn a foreign language despite self-doubt. To support this, I integrate educational technology to create engaging learning experiences. As a future librarian, I understand the importance of both analog and digital literacy and believe that students must be aware of using digital tools effectively and evaluating information critically.
