Mental Health

What is mental health?

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

How do we provide support?

Enochs High School Counselors and Student Assistance Specialists work together on campus to speak with students needing support individually, provide skills to manage and improve mental health, refer students to group counseling if appropriate, and outreach through school-wide activities. Teachers and staff are also trained in recognizing when students need support, and ensure that Counselors and Mental Health Providers are immediately notified. Students and parents are also encouraged to reach out to staff if they know of a student who may have mental health needs. Together we can work to help our school community.
