MJC Dual Enrollment Program – Take MJC classes tuition free while in high school. These courses will give you college credits regardless of your college plans. They won't work for high school credit, but will help you jump start your college career. See Mrs. Krone for more information and for any of the MJC application paperwork and school designee signatures. More information can be found by clicking the Enrichment Classes button below.
Beginning with the class of 2019, students who enroll at MJC and don't qualify for Financial Aid, may receive up to 2 years of free tuition if the following requirements are met:
Complete all steps to enroll at MJC
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Cal Dream Act Application (CADAA)
Be enrolled at MJC as a first-time, full-time student (12 or more units)
Must remain in good academic standing.
*If you enroll with credits from enrichment classes and/or AP credit, and meet all other requirements, you are still eligible for free tuition under AB19.
Transfer to a university—complete the required 60 transferable units, and apply to a university in the semester before you finish at MJC. Students need 15 units every semester of transferrable classes in order to transfer in 2 years.
Obtain AA or AS Degree—a 2 year degree can help you obtain a more desirable job and start a career. You can obtain the degree and transfer if you wish, it may take a few more classes.
Earn a Career Technical Education Certification—only take classes that pertain to your career area, and earn a certificate to help you get a job in the industry.
If MJC is your plan after you graduate there will be application workshops offered to Enochs students at different points in the school year. You can also explore the MJC website and see what you will need to do to get started.
