Showcasing a platter of approaches to public health nutrition practice
SEMINAR 1: Co-Design in the Retail setting
Monday 7th September 2020 12:00-12:45pm
The first seminar in this lunchbox series explored the effectiveness of the Healthy Stores 2020 initiative; a world first trial on Australia's remote food environment, where retailers restricted their merchandising of unhealthy food and beverages and successfully reduced sales of free sugars without impacting gross profit.
Associate Professor Julie Brimblecombe explored the theoretical foundations of co-design which underpinned this research. Khia De Silva provided valuable insight into the implementation and evaluation of the Healthy Stores 2020 initiative. Dr Sue Kleve facilitated a Q&A session with our audience of practitioners and academics.
