The development of the skills of critical reflection and reflexivity are important aspects of successful health profession graduates. How best to assess these critical skills has been a topic of conversation recently, in light of the now ubiquitous nature of Gen AI and LLMs that are able to replicate written reflection with ease. Furthermore, reflection is at times over-assessed and can therefore be undervalued by students.
To address these issues, Professor Claire Palermo brought together a group of education leaders within the faculty to discuss what a program of assessment for reflection in the age of AI could look like.
