Challenge Theme
The theme for the eiHub Challenge: Ideas for Tomorrow is: HACK the City!
By 2050, it is estimated that 7 out of 10 people will be living in cities. As the global urban population grows, cities around the world will struggle to offer a good quality of life amidst increased demand and competition for resources. Already today, city living for many is stressful, expensive, and life threatening.
The eiHub Challenge: Ideas for Tomorrow invites you to reimagine life in the city and hack at the status quo. We want big and new ideas around:
Better facilities. Hack the way we design and build the services essential to any city such as bus stops, parking structures, and parks.
Better signages. Hack the way we communicate to the masses in a city by rethinking how mass messaging is enabled such as via electronic displays, billboards, and road signs.
Better utility. Hack the way we use the city for greater inclusivity and efficiency with a new paradigm for city living such as in the way we use our roads, common areas, and shared spaces.
