DoL-RoICEs Harmonization Work Session
The Department of Labour (DoL), MoICE is holding a small, in-house Harmonization Work Session with RoICEs (regional offices) in Gelephu from 7th April 2025.
The conclave aims to bring clarity and consistency in labour administration, improve service delivery, and strengthen coordination and enforcement of labour laws, especially in light of current HR shortages.
More than ten key themes will be discussed, including foreign workers' management, dispute handling, OHS, and uniform interpretation of labour laws.
Some sessions will also include the representatives of local private sector and other stakeholders.
This dialogue is seen as timely and necessary given the technical, legal, and wide-ranging responsibilities of the labour administration system.
