How to choose a subject combination?

STEP 1: Explore and choose post-secondary education pathways

Discuss with your child/ward the various post-secondary education options & pathways available. Help your child/ward understand what post-secondary courses are available that may be of interest to him/her.  Click here for

STEP 2: Identify pre-requisite subjects

Find out the pre-requisite subjects that are compulsory for the post-secondary courses your child/ward is interested in.  Pre-requisite subjects refer to subjects that must have been taken at upper secondary level which are required for the post-secondary courses. STEP 3: Select elective subjects

At upper secondary, your child/ward will have to offer a set of compulsory subjects. In addition to these, your child/ward may choose between 1-3 elective subjects. View the list of elective subjects offered in TPSS and discuss with your child/ward his/her interest and aptitude for the various elective subjects offered.

Note: Subject combinations offered in TPSS have been carefully assembled to provide your child with a wide range of post-secondary options. 

It is not uncommon to have subjects which are not of interest to your child in the combination.

STEP 5: Submit online application 

a) The online application links can be found in the briefing slides and will also be forwarded in Class Whatsapp Groups by Form Teachers from Sat 25 May 9am.

b) Parents need to acknowledge, by submitting a signed copy of the selected subject combinations here or via the QR code.
